Conway, SC ... Eula Jane Alford Best, age 77, wife of the late Larry Manley Best died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Best was born in Horry County, SC, the daughter of the late Ely Mitchell Alford and Rhoda Rabon Alford. She was a member of Langston Baptist Church and a retiree of AVX Corporation. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Best was predeceased by three brothers, W.J. Alford, T.E. Alford and Hubert Alford; one sister, Emma Rabon.
Survivors are: two sons, Dale Best (Teresa) of Conway and L. Dean Best (Tara Nauful) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Doris B. Gasque (Roy) of Aynor; six grandchildren, Garrett Gasque (Fara), Kelly Best, William Best, Mary Elizabeth Best, Lillian Best, Ethan Rouse; two great-grandchildren, Blair Gasque and Garrison Gasque; one brother, Elbert "Shorty" Alford (Peggy) of Odessa, TX; one sister Mary Johnson of Dacula, GA; special friend and caretaker Pam Burny of Conway.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Goldfinch Conway Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Todd, Rev. Earl Elvis and Rev. Bruce Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
