Emmet Blystone, West Leechburg

Emmet E. Blystone, 53, of 124 Bell Ave., West Leechubrg, died yesterday (Jan. 9, 1980) at 2:30 p.m. in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, where he had been a patient for the past two days. He had been seriously ill for the past month.
Born March 17, 1926, in Shelocta, he was a son of James and Bertha Boyer Blystone.
He lived att his Bell Avenue residence for the past 31 years.
Mr. Blystone was scrap motor man in the hot mill with the West leechubrg Works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., where he had 31 years of service.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Hyde Park; the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 36 of Vandergrift, and the United Steel Workers of America Local 1138 of Leechburg.
His survivors include his wife of 31 years, Evelyn Bell Blystone; two sons: Ronald E. of West Leechburg and Jerry W. at home; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Sandra) Silliman; three grandchildren; five brothers: James Jr. of Shelocta; Lawrence and Everett, both of Canton, Ohio; Homer of Valencia, and Lloyd of Kittanning; and six sisters: Mrs. Ray (Leila) Smeltzer of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Wilbur (Laura) Donaldson of Clymer; Mrs. Harriet Sheasley of Shelocta; Mrs. Mildred Boyer of Rural Valley; Mrs. Margaret Spindler of Grove City; amd Mrs. Frank (Marie) Elioo of Clermont, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith, in 1953; a brother, Arthur; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Reckhart.
Friends will be welcomed by his family from 7 to 9 this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clawson's, Second at Main, Leechburg. Services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Hope Lutheran Church by his pastor, the Rev. William E. Brewer. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Township. DAV Chaper 36 will hold memorial services in the funeral home tonight at 7:30.
