Seven Valleys William H. Bupp Sr., 78, of Seven Valleys, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in York. He was the husband of the late Thelma Jean (Kessler) Bupp.

Born June 30, 1921, in York, he was a son of the late Abraham F. and Emma (Sweitzer) Bupp.

He was employed as diesel mechanic with National Gypsum Inc., York, for 42 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a corporal in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 794, the 9th Ward Social Club, York, and the South Central York County Senior Citizen Center, New Freedom.

Surviving are a son, William H. Bupp Jr. of Seven Valleys; a brother, Louis J. Bupp of York; three sisters, Mildred Swartz, Esther Lau, and Helen Smallwood, all of York; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1 1 a.m. Thursday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. The Rev. Carl E. Bentz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Stone" Church Cemetery, Glenville. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the York County Veterans Honor Guard, P.O. Box 712, Mt. Wolf, PA 17347.
