Mary "Marie" A. Denk, age 87, a former resident of Regency Apartments, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning, August 2, 1994, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 4, 1994 at 10:30 a.m. at Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc with Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. will officiate with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
She was born August 8, 1906, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Mary Ziarnik Becker. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and lived in Manitowoc all of her life. She was married to Raymond Denk, August 15, 1927, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1968. She worked for Mirro Aluminum Company for 30 years, retiring in 1971. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an avid baseball fan. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former member of the Rosary Society.
Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law, Arlene Zich, Manitowoc, Shirley and Dr. John Leschke, Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren, Darrell Zich, Mary and her husband Richard Roses, David and his wife Jean Zich, Anne and her husband Jeff Rusch, Bill and his wife Debbie Zich, Mark and his wife Jill Zich, Jim and his wife Leisa Zich, Al and his wife Lynn Zich, Linda and her husband Larry Dorse, Dr. John and his wife Julie Leschke, Joan and her husband David Skoglind, David and his wife Lucy Leschke, Andrew and his wife Carrie Leschke, Timothy Leschke; 31 great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Frozena, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Esther Becker, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law, Alex Becker; a special special niece, Theresa Wiesner, Manitowoc; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by six sisters, three brothers, and a son-in-law, Leonard Zich.
