Vida loved playing games, knitting and cooking, but above all, her family was most important to her.
Vida is preceded in death by Alexander Kone.
Vida is survived by: her son, David E. Whitmire of Sayre; daughter, Sandra (Whitmire) Tice of Paris, Texas; grandchildren, David, Tammy, Kenneth, and Michelle; and seven great-grandchildren.
A time of gathering with family and friends will be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
Burial will be in the Barton Cemetery, Barton, N.Y.
