Jane married Ed Newhart August 14, 1942, he was the son of Elisha (Ike) and Emma Benninger Newhart

Edwin K. Newhart, husband of Carol Jane Frantz Newhart who passed away July 29, 1998 passed away peacefully at his home in West Auburn on Monday morning December 28, 1998. He is survived by a loving family. There were calling hours at the Sheldon Funeral Home Main Street Meshoppen on Wednesday night December 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. It was Mr. Newhart's wish to have a private service held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be at the Beaver Meadows Cemetery. Contributed by Carol Brotzman Edwin Kenneth Newhart February 13, 1925 - December 28, 1998, son of Elisha John (Ike) and Emma Benninger Newhart. There children were Jeff, Carol, Connie and Christie.
