He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife; step-son, Leonard Ludwig of Northampton; sisters, Mrs. Emma Coombs of Walnutport and Lilly, wife of Bruce Costenbader of Kunkletown; brothers, Clarence and Lloyd, both of Palmerton, and Russell of Lehighton.
