Emma M. (Bollinger) Taylor, 91, of Renees Personal Care Home, Trachsville, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th and Chew streets, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Ray M. Taylor. Born in Little Gap, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Annie (Eckhart) Bollinger. She was a wholesaler/operator of a potato chip and pretzel route in the upper Lehigh and Carbon counties, from 1938-1946, operated Coombs Esso Station, Walnutport, from 1946-48, owned and operated the former Riverside Motors, Slatington, (a Chrysler and Dodge dealership with her former husband), from 1948-73. She was instrumental in selling the property that brought about the creation of the Walnutport Shopping Center, Burger King, the former Northern Lehigh Medical Center, Exxon Mini Market and gas station and Lincoln Manor. She also developed the West Lawn area in Walnutport which has 50 homes in it. Emma was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church for 47 years. She was a member of AARP, Slatington as a charter member, Walnutport Canal and Playground Associations and the Diamond Fire Company, Walnutport.

Survivors: Grandchildren, Mark Anthony of Slatington, Michael Anthony of Slatington and Susan Kroninger of Boyertown; a great-granddaughter, a great-grandson, a great-great-granddaughter; brother, Lloyd Bollinger of Palmerton. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Anthony, in 1978.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling hour 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
