Clarence Bollinger; had construction company

Clarence E. Bollinger, 86, of 4425 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, died Tuesday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Esther (Borger) Bollinger. They were married 65 years in January.

He was the originator of Bollinger Brothers Construction Co., Little Gap.

Born in Trachsville, he was a son of the late Jonas and Annie (Eckhart) Bollinger.

He was a member and former council member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville, and treasurer of its Sunday school for many years.

He was a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Wife: daughter, June, wife of Lowell Ackerson of Homosassa, Fla.; sisters, Emma, wife of Ray Taylor of Walnutport, and Lilly, wife of Bruce Costenbader of Kunkletown R.1; brothers, Lloyd of Palmerton and Russell of Lehighton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday in the church. Call 1-2 p.m. Friday in church. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.
