OBITUARY
Kingsport Times News - Sunday, July 20, 1986

Emma Elizabeth Rogers Ramey, 87, 1516 Charles St., Kingsport, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday at Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center after an extended illness.
Born in Lee County, Va., she had been a resident of Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of West View Church of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Logan H. Rogers in 1974 and Jerome Ramey in 1980.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Bonnie) Crider, Mrs. Verdie Shoemaker, Mrs. Neil (Clara) Huff, Mrs. Earl (Edith) Barker, and Mrs. Charlie (Marie) Love, all of Kingsport, Mrs. Velma Gonzales, Oliver Springs, Tenn., and Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Tipton, Windsor, Pa.; two sons, Garland H. Rogers, Hiltons, Va., and Harold G. Rogers, Kingsport, 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, the Rev. L.H. Webb,, Church Hill and V.H. (Buddy) Webb, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Oak Hill Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. G.D. Peters and the Rev. Hagan Webb officiating.
Burial will be in the Webb family cemetery.
