V.H. "Buddy" Webb

Bishop V.H "Buddy" Webb, 90, Dogwood Terrace, Apt A-3, 1920 Bowater Drive, Kingsport, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 10, 1990) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Scott County, Va., he had resided in Kingsport since 1919. Bishop Webb was a retire Holiness minister and was a member of the of the Church of the Lord Jesus. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Price Webb; one daughter, Edna Mae Webb; three sons, Everett Ray Eugene Webb, Vernon David Webb and Henry Ford Webb; three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Margie Russell, Mrs. Scotty (Elizabeth) Trent and Mrs. Duval (Anna) Dollar, all of Church Hill, Mrs. Jack (Nadine) Cole, West Carters Valley, Ms. Geraldine Webb, Kingsport; two sons, the Rev. Edward H. Webb, Colorado Springs, Colo., Andy V. "Dookie" Webb; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Carter's Chapel Funeral Home, and anytime at the home of Scotty and Alpha Trent, Grandview Avenue, West Carters Valley.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Thomas Marshall and the Rev. Garland Tipton officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in the Webb Family Cemetery.
