Margery Alice Howard, 82, of Janesville, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Our House Assisted Living. She was born in Janesville on Aug. 22, 1923, the daughter of Harlowe and Hilda (Ambrose) Clarke. She graduated from Janesville High School and served in the U.S. Navy for over two years. Margery married Glenn F. Howard on March 30, 1945. She resided most of her life in Janesville and LaPrairie Township. Margery loved to read, walk and bike, and was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Margery Howard is survived by her husband, Glenn; 2 children, Susan Howard of Janesville and Glenn (Marit) Howard of Norway; 3 grandchildren: Nikolai, Thea and Rebekka of Norway; 2 sisters, Hilda (Don) Kramer of Santa Ana, CA, and Margaret (Lloyd) Wincapaw of Westville, OK; and a brother, Duane (Jan) Clarke of Friendship, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters: Anna Schiefelbein, Lucille Clarke and Elaine Starks; and 2 brothers, Paul Clarke and Harlowe Clarke.
