Sadie M. Wilt, 85, formerly of East Berlin and Hanover, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at the Brethren Home Community where she was a resident.
Born February 20, 1920, in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Amos E. and Lucy (Stine) Linebaugh.
Mrs. Wilt was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown, where she was a former member of the Sunshine Sisters; a member of the AARP; the Pacesetter; and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was formerly employed by the East Berlin Sewing Factory. Surviving are one son, Carl L. Wilt of East Berlin; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Linebaugh of Abbottstown, Glenn Linebaugh of Dover and Merle Linebaugh of Gettysburg; and three sisters, Dorothy Sterner of Dover, Anna Bankert of East Berlin and Ruth Krout of York.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Ralph, Wilson, Amos, Charles and Curvin Linebaugh; and two sisters, Sarah and Edna Linebaugh.
The service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown, with her pastor, the Rev. Mark A. Werner, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, and Thursday at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
