Former Wetaskiwinite Passes Away Under the Very Saddest Circumstances
The many friends of Mrs. T. G. Bosworth, were shocked on Saturday evening last to learn that she had passed away at her home in Leduc. Two weeks previously she gave birth to a fine healthy daughter, and she was recovering nicely until complications set in. She was in her 30th year. Her maiden name was Alice L. Calkins, and she was born in Beatrice, Neb. About seven years ago she and her sorrowing husband came to Wetaskiwin, and by her geniality and sociability soon won a host of friends.
A funeral service was conducted at the home in Leduc on Monday evening. The remains were conveyed to Wetaskiwin on Tuesday morning's train and after service was held in the Methodist church by Rev. A. R. Aldridge, were laid in their last resting place in the Wetaskiwin cemetery. Among the floral tributes, which were very beautiful, were: - a wreath, from Mrs. J. H. Wilson, Leduc: a wreath from Mr. And Mrs. H. L. Higgs: anchor from Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Montgomery: a spray from Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Styles: a pillow from E. H. Wright and family: star from Star West, A.F. & A.M.: a wreath from Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Cutler: wreath from Mr. and Mrs. N. G. McDermott: a wreath from the Ladies Aid of the Methidist Church: a wreath and pillow from the family.
She leaves a sorrowing husband, two daughters, one of whom is only two weeks old, a father and two sisters. We join in extending the deepest heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
Note: The afore mentioned infant was given the name of Ruth and died shortly thereafter, it is said, of starvation.
