Mrs. Ida J. Miller Came to Wichita 18 Years Ago
Mrs. Ida J. Miller, 408 North Erie, died Saturday evening in a local hospital following a lingering illness. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Mel Williams, 146 South Green; a son, Everett A. Miller, 408 North Erie; a grandson, Gordon Stites; five brothers, C. H. Calkins, Jr., Lloyd A. Calkins, Leslie W. Calkins, Howard M. Calkins and R. J. Calkins; two sisters, Mrs. H. P. Dean, and Mrs. B. E. Riggs. She was beloved by many friends who had known her during her many years in Wichita.
Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late C. H. Calkins of 153 South Chautauqua and had resided here the past 18 years. Funeral services will be held at the Downing mortuary Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. George E. Newell will officiate. Burial will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
