Wichita Real Estate Man for Several Years Passes Here Tuesday

Chester H. Calkins, 44, of 436 North Erie, died at a local hospital Tuesday evening. He had been engaged in the real estate business for some time. He came from Beatrice Nebraska., to Wichita in 1908, and was a member of the Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie B,; four daughters, Mrs. Blanche Kirkpatrick of St. Louis, Carol B., Doris O., and Maxine B., and one son, Bernard E., all at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Ben E. Morgan, 540 North Lawrence, Mrs. B. E. Riggs, 228 South Bluff, Mrs. Harper Dean, 153 South Chautauqua, Mrs. George A. Farnof and Mrs. Ruth Fitch of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Mary E. Peltner, of Chicago, and Mrs. B. L. Wheatley of Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers, Ray J., of Beatrice, Nebraska., Leslie W., Route 3, Wichita, Lloyd A., 153 South Chautauqua, Howard M., 602 North Chautauqua; one half-brother, John L. Martin of Kansas City, Kan.; and his step-mother, Mrs. C. H. Calkins. Funeral services will be announced by the Downing mortuary.
