Wichita Resident Since 1910 Dies
Mrs. Esther P. Riggs, 57, of 153 S. Chautauqua Ave., died Tuesday evening in Wesley Hospital.
Mrs. Riggs was born Jan. 13, 1898, at Philly, Neb. She came to Wichita from Philly in 1910. She was a member of College Hill Methodist Church.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Lottie Calkins, at home; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Dean, at home; and a brother, Howard Calkins, 3711 E. Central Ave.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Gordon Mortuary. The. Rev. Dr. William A. Hubbard, pastor of College Hill Methodist Church, will officiate. Place of burial has not been announced.
