Mrs. John R. Ruether, 68, of route 1, Mischicot, died early today at the Holy Family hospital, folowing a week's illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers. Burial will be in Forest view cemetery there.

Mrs. Ruether, nee Louise Becker, was born in the town of Mishicot in 1877, and in 1898 was married to Mr. Ruether. They located on the homestead farm. Mr. Ruether died last August.

Survivors are four sons, Walter and Edward of route 1, Mishicot, Carl, on the home farm, John of Two Rivers; seven daughters, Mrs. Otto Sporer, of route 2, Manitowoc, Mrs. Arthur Folletz, Mrs. Louis Uhlerz, Mrs. Paul Denk, Mrs. Richard Denk, Mrs. Erwin Peterson, of route 1 Valders, Mrs. Elmer Bastian, of Two Rivers; 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The body may be viewed after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
