Mrs. Elmer Bastian, 50, of 807 Lowell St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Klein and Stangel Inc. Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. R. Thomas Peeters officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Bastian, nee Esther Ruether, was born April 11, 1918, in the Town of Mishicot, daughter of the late John and Louise Becker Ruether. She was married to Elmer Bastian at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek, July 28, 1941, and the couple resided at Two Rivers. She had been an employe of Mirro Aluminum Co. eight years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Two Rivers Aerie of Eagles.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Debra Anne of Two Rivers; a son, Robert, of Manitowoc; six sisters, Mrs. Arthur Folletz, Mrs. Paul Denk, Mrs. Richard Denk and Mrs. Louis Uhlers, of Manitowoc, Mr. Otto Sporer, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Ervin Peterson, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; three brothers, John, of Two Rivers, Walter of Manitowoc and Edward, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, and two grandchildren. A sister, Alice, and a brother, Carl preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where memorial services will be at 8 p.m.
