PETER DENOR

Peter J. Denor Sr., 78, a former Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County resident, died Monday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. He had been a patient there the past three months.
Funeral services will be at 9;15 a.m. Thursday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Kalisek will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Denor was born March 18, 1881, at Clarks Mills, son of the late Peter and Catherine Lensmeyer Denor. He married the former Catherine Wagner May 24, 1904, at Kellnersville and the couple settled on a farm in the Town of Franklin.
She died in 1933. Mr. Denor was the former treasurer and assessor of the Town of Franklin for many years and was also a former officer of Riverside School District No. 4. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church. A son, Joseph, died in 1953 and a brother and sister also preceded him in death.

Survivors include six sons, Peter Jr., and Herbert of Brillion, Edward of Mishicot, Raymond of Rt. 3, Reedsville, Arthur of Rt. 3, Denmark and John of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; five daughters, Mrs. Paul Massman and Mrs. Frank Bender of Manitowoc, Mrs. Adolph Raschke of Brillion, Mrs. Michael Mangin of Rt. 1, Cato and Mrs. Robert Bielinski of Denmark; three brothers, Joseph and Frank of Manitowoc and John of Menchalville; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Riederer of Manitowoc; 38 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by the Holy Name Society and at 8:15 p.m. by Father Kalisek.
