MATHILDA KASTEN

Mrs. Henry Kasten, 71, died early this morning of a heart attack at the home at 826 South 19th Street. She had not been ill.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Leschke Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Rev. Martin Jeckels officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Leschke Funeral Home from Saturday noon until the hour of the funeral.

Mrs. Kasten was born Matilda Rohde in Manitowoc on July 9, 1867. She was married to Henry Kasten 43 years ago at Newton and the Kastens lived at Newton until they moved to the city five years ago.

Survivors of Mrs. Kasten are the widower, eight children and step-children. Mrs. John Goetz, Mrs. Richard Bauer, Mrs. Walter Wehrwein, Mrs. Margaret Glomski, Bruno and Fred Kasten, John Redzinski, all of this city, and Mrs. Reinhold Detjen, Newton; four sisters, Mrs. Mike Jagodinski and Mrs. Ignatz Bonk of this city and Mrs. Frank Glomski and Mrs. Nick Kuffel of Newton; four brothers Martin and Edward Rohde of Newton, Frank Rohde of Sheboygan and Thomas Rohde of Milwaukee, and 20 grandchildren.

Mrs. Kasten was a member of the Rosary Society.
