HENRY KASTEN

Henry Kasten, 75, retired farmer, died last night at the home, 826 South 19th street. He had been seriously ill the past month.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Leschke funeral home and at nine o'clock from the St. Paul's Catholic church, the Rev. Martin Jaeckels officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Kasten was born in 1863 at Shoto and when a young man took up farming. He married Mrs. Mathilda Rodzinsky at Newton in 1896. They located on a farm in that town and in 1927 retired and moved to this city. Mrs. Kasten died last March.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. John Goetz, city, Mrs. Richard Bauer, Mrs. Walter Wehrwein, Mrs. Reinhold Detjen, all of Newton; two sons, Fred and Bruno, both of this city; and 20 grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Thursday noon until the hour of services Saturday.
The Holy Name Society and Christian Mothers of St. Paul's church will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 7 p.m. to recite the rosary.
