Mrs. Walter Wehrwein, 58, lifelong Manitowoc County resident, died late Sunday afternoon at home, 1144 S. 15th St., Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The former Lydia Kasten was born Sept. 28, 1902, in the Town of Newton, daughter of the late Henry and Mathilda Rhode Kasten. She was married to Anton Roberts June 13, 1923. He died Dec. 19, 1930. She was married to Walter Wehrwein Aug. 28, 1934. Mrs. Wehrwein was a member of St. Ann Society of St. Boniface Church.

Surviving are the husband, five daughters, Mrs. Charles Peterson of Oxford, Pa., Mrs. Roy Peterson and Mrs. Keith Christian of Manitowoc, Mrs. Harold Berge of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Vilas Mathias of Madison; two sons, Anton M. Roberts of Manitowoc and Lester Wehrwein of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. John Goetz and Mrs. Reinhold Detjen of Manitowoc and 22 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
