North Vernon- Paschal "Pat" Cornett 59 of North Vernon died at 10:29 a.m. Saturday Sept 18 1999 at Veterans Hospital Indianapolis.
Mr. Cornett retired after 21 years with B&O railroad. He attended North Vernon high school, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Columbus and a former member of North Vernon Amvets and Eagles Lodge. Mr. Cornett was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Picket Funeral Home on North Vernon with Paul Cornett officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery of Bartholomew county Veterans Color Guard.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jennings County.
Mr. Cornett was born in Whitesburg Ky. March 19 1940 the son of Ola Caudill Cornett of North Vernon and the late Isaac Cornett. Other survivors include a daughter Karen Lynn Cornett of North Vernon, a son Dennis Vaughn Cornett of Trafalgar; brothers Leslie B Cornett of Columbus, John Cornett of Paris Crossings, Mark Cornett of North Vernon, and Gail Cornett of Las Vegas; sisters Linda Spurgeon, Elizabeth Ebbing, Betty Jean Bartlett, Kathleen Holley and Wanda Wilson all of North Vernon and Carolyn Holly of Seymour and a companion Carolyn Hiott of Columbus.
