Betty Jean Bartlett, 61, of Commiskey, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
She was born March 25, 1955, in Seymour, to Isaac and Ola Caudill Cornett. She worked for more than 20 years with Lowes Distribution Center in North Vernon, retiring as coach in 2010. She previously worked at Joyce’s Flowers and Componx, both in North Vernon. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching television, kids and helping others.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Bartlett; two sons Jamie Bartlett of North Vernon and Michael Bartlett of Dupont; three brothers, Mark Cornett of Scipio, John Cornett of Commiskey and Gale Cornett of Las Vegas, Nev.; five sisters, Linda Spurgeon of Scipio, Liz Ebbing of Hayden, Carolyn Holley and Kathleen Holley, both of Seymour, and Wanda Wilson of North Vernon; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Bartlett; her parents; and four brothers, Pascal Cornett, Thomas Cornett, Billy Cornett and Leslie Cornett.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.
