Mr. Nimmo was born on Feb. 21, 1924, in Grand Tower, the son of Roy E. Nimmo and Emma Ellet Nimmo. He was married to Rosemary Clover on May 31, 1945. She survives.
Mr. Nimmo was a retired iron worker who had worked on the arch project in St. Louis. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local No. 392 of East St. Louis.
Besides his wife, survivors include four sons, Skipper E. Nimmo, of Orlando, Fla., Mark W. Nimmo of De Soto, Bobby L. Nimmo of Christopher, and Roy W. Nimmo of Murphysboro; one daughter, Katherine J. Miller of Christopher; eleven grand children, and seven great grand children.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Upon Mr. Nimmo's request he will be cremated with no service.
Gilbert Funeral Home of Christopher is in charge of arrangements.
