West Potsdam, March 19-Miss Helen T Desmond, retired school teacher, died in Hepburn hospital, Ogdensburg, Thursday morning at 2:30. The body was brought to her home in the Moore Hill section. Services were held in St. Mary's church, Canton, Saturday morning. The body was placed in a vault to awaitburial at Brasher Falls in the spring.
Miss Desmond was born in Brasher Falls, a daughter of John and Mary O'Connor Desmond. She was graduated from St. Joseph's academy and Potsdam normal. She taught in various schools in this section until her retirement a few years ago.
She is survived by two brothers, John and Augusta Desmond of Potsdam and four sisters, Mrs. A.D. Ames, Canton; Mrs. H.S.Parkinson, Waddington; Mrs. Wm. Dunn, West Haven, Conn. and Miss. Anna Desmond, Potsdam.
