Gaspare Magliocco, Ex-Area Resident

Gaspare Magliocco, 69, of Paulsboro, died Friday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Philadelphia, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Philadelphia, he resided in the Vineland-Malaga area for 60 years before moving to Paulsboro.

He had been employed as a carpenter, working out of the local union.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Malaga, and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was also a member of the Franklinville VFW, the Clayton American Legion and the Malaga Gunning Club.

Surviving are a son, Rick of Red Hill, PA; six brothers, John, Eugene, and Frank, all of Malaga; Joseph of Erie, PA, Louis in Elmer, and James of of Newfield; three sisters, Theresa Sylvester of Franklinville; Elizabeth Jiannotti of Malaga; and Rita Pacifico of Narberth, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Pancoast Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection and Communion will follow in St. Mary's Church, Malaga at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery and the viewing will take place after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
