He worked as a security guard for American Meter Co., Erie International Airport, Security Peoples Trust Co. and the Erie Central Mall. He formerly worked for the Erie Sewer Authority, retiring in 1974 after 24 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was assigned duty as an engineer throughout the European Theater. He participated in several campaigns, including Normandy. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Jiannotti (d 1/1982 age 55), and Theresa Sylvester; six brothers, John, Gaspare "Gus," Frank, Michael Magliocco, and a brother Thomas who died in infancy.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joanna Malizia Magliocco; two daughters, Lynette Golestaneh and her husband, Kaveh, of Erie and Mary Ann Savoia and her husband, Vito, of Janesville, Wis.; three brothers, James Magliocco and his wife, Janet, Louis Magliocco and his wife, Marguerite "Marge," and Eugene Magliocco, all of New Jersey; a sister, Rita Pacifico and her husband, Anthony, of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial, with military honors at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
