Funeral services for Dorothy R. (Lungren) Reitz, 77, Spearfish, will be Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at 10 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Spearfish. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery at 12 p.m.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church in Spearfish. She died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Dorothy was born Oct. 20, 1924, at Deaver, Wyo., to John and Anna Reinhardt. She attended school in Belle Fourche and then moved to Vale. She married Ruben Lungren on Jan. 4, 1942, in Rapid City. He passed away on Oct. 5, 1980. Dorothy worked at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center for 21 and retired in 1984.
Dorothy married Henry Reitz on May 18, 1985, at Sturgis. They lived in Watsonville, Calif., until 1988 when they moved to Spearfish where they have lived since. She worked at the Valley Cafe in Spearfish, helping her daughter, for 10 years.
Her parents, her first husband, two sisters, and four brothers preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established.
