BELLE FOURCHE - Services for Edward Reinhardt, 71, who died Friday at his home in Newell, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frost and Sons Funeral Home in belle Fourche. The Rev. Dan Heath will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
A Memorial has been established.
he was born May 19, 1918, in Kilmanagh, Mich., to William and Anna (Reinhardt) Reinhardt. He moved with his parents to Deaver, Wyo., where he attended school.
In 1932 he moved to Belle Fourche. After his education in Belle Fourche, he farmed with his father near Vale. He lived the rest of his life in Butte County.
He married Eugenia Ruff April 27, 1940, at Belle Fourche. He farmed in the Vale and Nisland areas until 1974, when he moved to Newell. he managed the municipal bar in Nisland for many years. he retired in 1983.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Newell.
Survivors include his wife, of Newell; a son, Edward Reinhardt Jr. of Belle Fourche; a daughter, Gretchen Phillips of Philip; two brothers, Bob Reinhardt of Sturgis and John Reinhardt of Glenrock, Wyo.,; six sisters, Lydia Lungren of Sturgis, Mary Herman of Belle Fourche, Kate Pauley of Spearfish, Freda Mailloux of Vale, Dorothy Reitz of Spearfish and Betty Delatove of California; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and two brothers.
