Hazel A. Newlin
Hazel A. Newlin, 84, of Horton, died Monday, October 6, 1997 at the Tri County Manor in Horton.

She had been a school teacher. Mrs. Newlin was born October 9, 1912, in Centralia, KS, the daughter of Wayland and Florence Domer Shoemaker, and graduated from Kansas University. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Horton.

She married Raymond J. Newlin on December 11, 1937 in Centralia. He died on December 7, 1974.

Survivors include one sister, Wava Allen of Centralia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, October 10, 1997, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary. Burial will be in the Wetmore Cemetery, Wetmore, KS. Visitation will be anytime Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Horton, KS and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
