Ora "Jack" Abbott, age 86, of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014

Jack was born on October 7, 1928,in Nashville, IN to the late Charles and Willa (Link) Abbott.
He married Norma (Barmes) Abbott in 1986.
Jack retired from Red Gold as a fork lift driver. He was a former member of the Trinity United Brethren Church, and now was a member of ion Chapel Church, where he is still listed as the official bell ringer for the church.
Jack was a life member of the Fathers Auxillary V.F.W. Jack enjoyed spending time working on lawnmowers, being a handyman, and especially enjoyed gardening and putting out tomato plants. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, "Cookie."

Jack is survived by his loving Wife, Norma (Barmes) Abbott Son, David & wife Wanda Abbott Daughter, Brenda & husband Robert Beeman step-son, Gary (Janice) Scheffer step-son, Randy Scheffer

Jack was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Abbott, Mother, Willa (Link) Abbott, Sons Jackie Abbott and Doug Abbott, Daughter Joyce Abbott, step-daughter, Tanya Brush and Brothers, Carl Abbott, Art Abbott, Bernice Abbott & Morris Abbott.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Bess of the Zion Chapel Church officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Elwood,
