Charles Abbott, 70, Dies at Home
Charles Abbott, of Carmel Ridge, Morgantown, passed away at his home, Tuesday, January 1st, after an illness of three years. Mr. Abbott was born February 8, 1886 in Tipton County, Indiana. He was the son of Nelson and Ella Rittenhouse Abbott.
On March 8, 1913 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Link. To this marriage were born seven sons. Marvin and Carl, of Morgantown; Horace, Art and Ora, of Elwood; Maurice, of Fowler; and Bernis, of Indianapolis.
Survivors besides the sons are two sisters, Mrs. Nora Greggs and Mrs. Della McFearson, of Elwood; 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 3rd (today) at 1 P.M. at the Cottonwood Church. The Rev. Warren Chafin conducting. Burial will be in the Carmel Ridge Cemetery.
Bond Funeral Home had charge of the services.
