Mr. Dorzweiler had taught accounting at Longview for five years. He was formerly a tennis teacher at the Carriage Club. He was an umpire for the U.S. Open tennis tournament for nine years and was a member of the International Tennis Association and the Missouri Valley Tennis Association.
Mr. Dorzweiler was chairman of the American Historical Society of German from Russia. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and had been president of the Episcopal Men of Iowa.
He was born in Catherine, Kan., and lived in Kansas City 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Dorzweiler of the home; two sons, Richard Dorzweiler, Iowa City, Iowa, and J. C. Dorzweiler, Mission; a daughter, Mary Buford, Overland Park; five brothers, Robert Dorzweiler nad Donald Dorzweiler of Appleton, Wis., Walter Dorzweiler, Barrington, Ill., George Dorzweiler, St. Joseph, and Harold Dorzweiler, Cincinnati; two sisters, Helen Wenzel, Menasha, Wis., and Patricia Lotzer, Milwaukee; two grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the church; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mount Moriah Guardian Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Dorzweiler graduated from St. Mary's High School, Menasha, WI in 1941. He was in the Air Force during WWII and became a 2nd lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1950 with a BBA in Accounting.
