Timothy B. Dorzweiler, 64, of Topeka, passed unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2022. He was born July 11, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, the son of William and Verda (Benson) Dorzweiler.
He attended Highland Park High School and completed his diploma while enlisted in the United States Army. Tim was eager to the join the Army and enlisted at the young age of 17. While enlisted, he traveled the world and seen a lot of unique places. Upon his discharge, he was ranked a Sergeant. Tim was a Sergeant at the Topeka Correctional Facility. He worked there for 34 years. He loved watching WWII and John Wayne movies, was a Military History buff, and enjoyed collecting various guns. When he and his wife, Brenda, had spare time they enjoyed spending time together.
Tim married Brenda M. Cadue on December 8, 1988 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include his sister, Pam (Roger) Schutz; brother, Tom Dorzweiler and their beloved poodle, Pepper. He was preceded in death by his parents and dog, Gizmo.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4717 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas. Military honors will take place at 3:00pm to honor Tim's service. A private inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604.
