Funeral services were held here Tuesday for Mrs. Sylvia Lanphere, 86, former Milton resident who died Saturday at Stratford, Wis., where she lived with her son, Milo.
Rev. Elmo Randolph officiated at the services held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church. Burial was in Milton cemetery.
Mrs. Lanphere was born Dec. 16, 1873, at Farina, Ill., the daughter of Russell and Anna Crandall Maxson. On Dec. 16, 1893, she was married to Stiles Russell Lanphere, who preceded her in death. Two daughters, Vira Estell Johnston and Beulah Lucile Meyer also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lanphere lived here for several years and was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, where she was active in the church school.
Surviving is her son, Milo.
