RS. BERTLER DIES LAST EVE
Funeral Services Are To Be Held On Thursday
After a prolonged illness, Mrs. George Bertler, 46, died last night at the family home, 1001 North Eighth street. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the home and at 9 a.m. from the Sacred Heart church, where a solemn requiem mass will be sung in charge of Fathers Radey, Grace and Jaekel. Interment will be at Calvary cemetery.
The maiden name of the deceased was Johanna Engeldinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nic Engeldinger, Whitelaw. She was married in this city on August 5, 1908, to George Bertler and they continued to make this city their home.
Besides the husband the deceased is survived by four daughters, Frances, Rosella, Imelda, Marie, seven sons, George Jr., Walter, Ralph, Raymond, Gerald, Eugene, and Donald; her parents, now residents of this city; five sisters, Mrs. Anton Staldler, Mrs. O.T. Bredeson, and Mrs. Ray Harlow, all of this city, Sister Azaralas of Kaukauna and Sister M. Nicolata of Oneida, Wis., and two brothers, Nic Jr. of Green Bay and John of this city. The deceased was a member of the St. Ann’s society of the St. Boniface congregation, the Altar society of the Holy Innocents parish, the G.U.G. Germania, and the Eagles auxiliary.
The remains were removed to the home on North Eighth street this evening where they may be viewed up to the time of the funeral.
