Marie V. Cannon, age 73, a resident of Manitowoc, died Saturday, November 1, 1997, at her residence.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. William Zimmer will officiate.
Cremation will have taken place with burial of the cremains in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Marie was born on March 2, 1924, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late George and JoHannah Engeldinger Bertler.
She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, in 1942.
She married Jack L. Cannon June 4, 1947, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Cannon preceded her in death on February 11, 1972. She worked at Hamilton Scientific Industries, Two Rivers, for 20 years and retired in 1985. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include five children, Wayne (Jean) Cannon, Green Bay, John (Mary) Cannon, Susan (Richard) Hiller, Jane Hay and her special friend Duane Schuveiler, Barbara (Jeff) Lenzner, all of Manitowoc; two brothers, Raymond Bertler, Florida, Donald (Betty) Bertler, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
