JOHN P. KUHL DIES AFTER A DAY ILLNESS
Pneumonia Attack Fatal to So. Tenth Street Business Man at Hospital This Morning
Stricken with an attack of pneumonia at his home on South Tenth Street on Sunday, John P. Kuhl, aged 57 years, a pioneer Manitowoc businessman who has lived practically his entire life in the city, passed away at four o'clock this morning, at the Holy Family Hospital, where he was removed on Tuesday.
Mr. Kuhl complained of a severe cold late last week and Sunday was forced to his bed. His condition grew rapidly worse and he was rushed to the hospital yesterday but he gradually failed until the end came early today. Funeral arrangements have not been completed but will probably be held on Saturday.
Born in Manitowoc 57 years ago, Mr. Kuhl with his brother, engaged in the harness business with his father, the late Michael Kuhl. For two years he with his brother, Michael, engaged in the harness business at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, but he then returned to this city. Twenty-seven years ago he established his present business at South Tenth and Franklin Streets, which he has since conducted.
In 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Hermann of this city who survives him with one daughter, Mrs. Henry Revolinsky of this city. There are four brothers, Jos. D., Nicholas and August, all of this city and Michael of Cottonwood Falls, Kan., and three sisters, Mrs. Ida McComas and Mrs. Francis Mitchell, both of Los Angeles and Mrs. Mary Auermiller of this city. Mr. Kuhl was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, almost since the organization of the order here. The remains may be viewed Thursday and Friday afternoon and evening at the Wattawa and Urbanek mortuary.

Funeral services for the late John P. Kuhl, who passed away yesterday morning at the hospital after a three day illness, will be held on Saturday morning. The remains will be taken from the Wattawa and Urbanek chapel to the St. Boniface church at nine o'clock and interment will be at Calvary cemetery.
