Norman P. Massman, age 77, of 725 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, June 11, 2003, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Ronald Reimer with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. He was born July 29, 1925, in Manitowoc, son of the late Paul and Catherine Denor Massman. Norman was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1943. On Sept. 12, 1959, he married the former Lorraine Schuh at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Norman started his employment at Manitowoc Engineering in 1943 and retired in 1988 as supervisor of the planning department. He was a member of TPA, Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706 and Kenny’s Athletic Club Softball Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife: Lorraine Massman, Manitowoc; a son: Paul Massman, Houston, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Dorothy Luckow, Marilyn and Arthur Schmatz, all of Manitowoc; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert (Angie) Schuh, Chilton; Roger (Mary Agnes) Schuh, Sheboygan; Allen (Pat) Schuh, Dykesville; George Cain, Manitowoc; Dallas (Barbara) Kelp, Columbus, Ind.; and Leon Armbruster, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Melvin Luckow, Leonard (Deloris) Schuh, Rosemary Cain, Germaine Neuenfeldt, Marilyn Kelp and Gail Armbruster. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Alan Boeldt. Friends may also call Monday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Norman was an avid Packer fan who also enjoyed polka and old time music.
