Lawrence William (Bill) Moe, 86, of Midland, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Unit of the Alda Lutz VA Facility in Saginaw. He fought the fight for 16 months. Bill was born in Midland June 9, 1929, to William E. and Lucille (Irelan) Moe. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; he supported the Midland American Legion Berryhill Post 0165 as a member. He was employed with the Dow Corning Corporation until his retirement in 1989, after 25 years of service. He was an avid softball player for 42 years, enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, going for long walks, road trips, the beauty of flowers, reading westerns and making people laugh. He was the king of putting jigsaw puzzles together. To sum it up, Bill was a very talented, hardworking handy man and a humble, compassionate person who would do anything for anyone. He is missed so much already.
