JONESBOROUGH - Bobby Gene Jarrett, age 71, of Jarrett Road, Limestone, died Saturday at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Jarrett was a native of Greene County but had lived most of his life in Washington County.


He was a son of the late Sherman and Lucy Bowman Jarrett.


Mr. Jarrett was a farmer.


He was of the Christian tradition of faith.


Survivors include his wife: Louise Cloyd Jarrett; a son: Ronnie Jarrett of Telford; a daughter: Jackie Jarrett of Limestone; a grandson: Adam Jarrett of Telford; a stepgranddaughter: Kelley Hall Harrell of the Bowmantown community; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Edna Jarrett of Greeneville, Evert and Alma Jarrett of Limestone, and Leon and Betty Jarrett of Jonesborough; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Vera and Gene Graybeal of Johnson City, and Janice and Ralph Shipley, Leona and Emory Farmer, and Barbara and Ted Thompson, all of Jonesborough; a brother-in-law and his wife: Cyrus and Nagatha Cloyd; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend of the family: Kenny Woods of Limestone.


Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by two brothers.


The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough.


The funeral service will follow visitation at 9 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Jeremy Dykes, minister, and the Rev. Mark Kilbourne will officiate.


A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in Mount Wesley Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Allen Jarrett, Johnny Jarrett, Ricky Clouse, Brian Dillow, Rod Collins, Jackie Hensley, Wayne Rupert, David Shipley, Mike Jarrett, and Sonny Barnett.
