Mr. Evert A. Jarrett, 77, Limestone, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Jarrett was a native of Greene County and son of the late Sherman & Lucy Bowman Jarrett. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Bobby, Leon and Johnny Jarrett.

He was a member of Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jarrett was a Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner representative, farmer and county commissioner.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Alma Ruth Cloyd Jarrett; children, Sandra Clouse (Ricky), Jonesborough, Kathy Dillow (Brian), Conklin, Karen Collins (Rod), Limestone, Penny Hensley (Jackie), Telford, Allen Jarrett (Debbie), Limestone, Johnny Jarrett, Johnson City; grandchildren, Chasity Hendrix (Scott), Dusty Clouse, Candice Garvin (Scotty), Megan Williams (Mark), Katie Britton (Scott), Kaci Mango (Justin), Trey Hensley (Amber) and Dillon Jarrett; great grandchildren, Gabe, Connor and Brady Hendrix, Mason, Seth and Laney Britton, Dalton Garvin, Lily Mango and Landon Williams; brother, Paul Jarrett (Edna Ruth), Greeneville; sisters, Vera Rupert Graybeal (Gene), Johnson City, Janice Shipley (Ralph), Jonesborough, Leona Farmer, Jonesborough, Barbara Barnett Thompson (Ted), Jonesborough; sisters-in-law, Louise Jarrett and Betty Jarrett; brother and sister-in-law, Cyrus & Nagatha Cloyd; very special friend, Virgil (Tuff) Sliger; many other special friends; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeremy Dykes and Rev. Cathy Fowler officiating. Music will be provided by Trey Hensley.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Mt. Wesley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dusty Clouse, Dillon Jarrett, Trey Hensley, Scott Hendrix, Scott Britton, Justin Mango, Mark Williams, Scotty Garvin and Ronnie Jarrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Washington County Commissioners, elected county officials, George Jaynes and Marion Light.
