DEATH ENDS SUFFERING FOR FRANK DIRKMAN
Was Well Known Farmer of Kossuth Town


Death came as a release from suffering to Frank Dirkman at the family home, 726 North Tenth street, early Sunday morning after an illness of more than a year. He suffered a stroke shortly after midnight Saturday and death occurred early Sunday morning.

Frank Dirkman was sixty-eight years old, having been born in the town of Kossuth January 1, 1856. He was married to Miss Kate Brockoff, August 25, 1887 and the family made its home on a farm until the death of Mrs. Dirkman seven years ago when Mr. Dirkman retired and took up his residence in this city.

Seven children survive him, Mrs. John Massman, Mrs. Anton Krcma and Leona Dirkman, of this city, Mrs. Adam Herman Mrs. Thomas Theisen, both of Kossuth; Frank Dirkman, Jr., city and Leonard Dirkman who is in the naval service and a member of the crew of the USS Tennessee. Seven grandchildren, two brothers, Valentine and Jacob Dirkman, and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Multerer, this city, also survive him.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning from the home at 8 o'clock with services at St. Anne's Catholic Church at Francis Creek at 10 o'clock, the Rev. Schiller officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.
