Florence F. Herrmann, age 85, formerly of 709 Manitou Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Florence was born on October 31, 1925, in Kellnersville, daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Jirikovec) Lensmeyer. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc in 1943. On November 6, 1948, she married Melvin A. Herrmann at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2010. Florence was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek.

Survivors include six children and their spouses: Allan (Susan) Herrmann, Whitelaw; Kenneth Herrmann, Whitelaw; JoAnn (Shawn) Seefeldt, Manitowoc; Joyce Herrmann and Kevin Osterloth, Manitowoc; Jean (Jeffrey) Braunel, Manitowoc; Judy Skrepenski and special friend Dave Laabs, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Brad (Tabitha) Seefeldt, Matthew (Heidi) Herrmann, Christopher Kalista, John Herrmann, Patrick Herrmann, Brittany Braunel, Brianna Braunel; great-granddaughter: Taliah; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Joe (Janet) Lensmeyer; Clara Lensmeyer; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Mildred Hynek; Esther Skubal; Dorothy (Art) Vogel; Corrine Dose; Benny Shimon. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Frances Lensmeyer; one brother: Clarence “Butch” Lensmeyer; three sisters and six brothers-in-law: Olive (Ray) Huinker; Betty (Tubba) Lakatos; Grace Shimon; Joe Hynek; Larry Skubal, Larry Swoboda; Erv Dose; one sister-in-law: Arlene Sydow.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Anne Parish Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Paul Kieffer at 7: 00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Florence’s name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center and Laurel Grove. Your love and care went above and beyond what anyone could ask for. Mom enjoyed all of the interaction with the girls. They put smiles on each other’s face on a daily basis. Thank you for making her golden years truly “golden”.
