Raymond Acuff Raymond
Acuff, 83, of Lentner, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 13, 1989 at the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m., at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Elder Russel Key and Brother Gary Breland will officiate. Burial will be in the Shelbina Cemetery. Visitation will be today, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was born June 9, 1906 near Lentner, the son of Claiborne and Nancy Halliburton Acuff. On Oct. 9, 1946, he married Elsie Dungan. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Sara) Smith of Independence; one grandson, David Smith; two step-grandchildren; and one sister, Josephine Crawford of Shelbina.
Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers and one sister.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church near Madison.
