A native of Louisville, he was a member of the Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 201.
Survivors include his Wife, Barbara Watson; children, Barbara Scott (Sidney), James W. Watson, Ricky DeMasters (Kim), Dion DeMasters (Janet), Yvonne Payne (Kevin), Garrel DeMasters (Bobbie), and Tina Miller (Dan); 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester and Carl Watson; and sisters, Laverne Martin, Dolly Taylor and Joyce Clark.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday.
