Charles Hardin Watson, 82, of Louisville, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a native of Hart County, KY, a retired welder's helper for American Air Filter, where he worked for 34 years, a deacon at Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Metallic Club at East Audubon Baptist Church and Seniors Citizens. He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Ella Martin; son, Gary W. Watson; daughter, Charlotte Summers; brothers, James, Chester and Carl Watson; sisters, Dolly Taylor, Laverne Martin and Joyce Clark; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Donald Watson, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church, 1224 Becker Ave., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Hwy. and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at his church.
