He was retired from Navistar and International Harvester. Chester was a veteran in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, VFW Post 1170 and was a Free Mason with the Boaz Masonic Home Lodge 850 F&AM.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah May Watson; a grandson, Phillip Mark Watson and numerous siblings.
He is survived by three children, Phillip Mark Watson (Radiene), Teresa Karen Mellett (Maynard) and Alan Neil Watson (Monica); a sister, Dolly Watson Taylor; grandchildren, Erin Hayes, Jessica Watson, Natalie Adams, Cheyenne Ellis and Wyatt Corcoran; one great grandson, Bentley Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Chester will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
